China Private Economy Innovation International Forum 2007

Introduction

As the Chinese economy enters its new economic cycle, embodied with high-speed and high quality features, more and more Chinese private entrepreneurs join the marketing economic competition. To help companies and entrepreneurs keep up with the current developments in the world, to promote innovation, and to improve marketing and management skills, the Institute of Economics Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Taizhou Economic Association jointly organize the “China Private Entrepreneurs Economy Innovation International Forum,” which will be held in August 2007 in Taizhou, China. The purpose of the conference is to explore the regional perspective on Chinese economic innovation while analyzing the globalization influence and discuss how local and regional resources and capabilities can be used to spur innovation and improve competitiveness.

The Institute of Economics is a comprehensive economic research institution in China, which combines theoretical economics, applied economics and economic history. It studies major theoretical and practical problems concerning readjustment of ownership, reform of the enterprise system, income distribution among urban and rural residents, macro control and implementation of policies in light of the realities of economic transition and social development. In addition, it closely follows the new trends of development of the world’s economic thought, draws on and absorbs extensively new methods and modern theories of the West.
